Terms of Service

Draft of October 7, 2026 · Applies in the United States only

The short version

  • BabyBadger is software for families and the sitters they already know. It is not an employer, agency or referral service, and it doesn’t recommend sitters or screen them unless a check is shown.
  • Parents pay for one plan per household, with a 30-day free trial. Sitters always use BabyBadger for free.
  • Location is shared only during a shift, and only with the sitter’s signed consent.
  • BabyBadger is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 911.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and JobBadger LLC (“BabyBadger”, “we”, “us”) for using the BabyBadger apps and babybadger.app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. Who can use BabyBadger

3. What BabyBadger is, and isn’t

BabyBadger is software. It helps a family and a sitter they already chose to plan shifts, share a care plan, and see how a shift is going. Families decide whom to hire and on what terms; sitters decide which families to work with.

BabyBadger is not an employer, a babysitting agency or a referral service. We don’t employ, supervise, recommend, refer or guarantee any sitter or family, and we are not a party to the arrangement between them. Sitters are not our employees or contractors.

We don’t screen sitters unless a check is displayed. A sitter’s profile shows the credentials she added herself, with the dates she entered. Where a check was done, BabyBadger displays what was checked and when; a check reflects only that moment and is not a guarantee. If no check is displayed, none was done by us.

BabyBadger does not offer a way to find new sitters today. If we add one later, these terms will be updated before it launches.

Families remain responsible for their own hiring decisions and for meeting any employment, tax and insurance obligations.

4. Location sharing and consent

5. Not an emergency service

Alerts, messages and the live map depend on phones, batteries, signal and third-party services, and may be delayed or fail. In an emergency, call 911 first.

6. Plans, trials and billing

7. Your content

You own what you add: kids’ details, care plans, logs, photos and messages. You give us permission to store, process and show that content to the people you share it with, only to run the Service. Don’t add content you don’t have the right to share.

8. Rules

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using BabyBadger at any time and ask us to delete your account at help@babybadger.app. What happens to data afterwards is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, BabyBadger is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of any parent or sitter. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if that is more.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless the law requires otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post changes here and, for important ones, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use BabyBadger after that means you accept the new terms.
